Day 81 - Here is the riser later in the day after being packed with two layers of insulation. The insulation serves two purposes. The first is to kill the hollow boxy sound and make the riser sound and feel better when walking on it and the second is to make the riser act as a giant bass trap. Bass traps absorb bass frequencies and help to smooth out bass response in a room.
